Captions are light work. Finding clips means reading the whole episode, and an AI edit makes a dozen decisions about one reel — so those use more.

No. Each month's credits last until the next month's arrive, and whatever is left then expires. A yearly plan works the same way: its credits come a month at a time, and each month's last that month.
Anytime, from Settings → Manage subscription. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and the credits you have last until the end of their month.
Yes. Moving up between monthly plans charges the difference right away and adds the difference in credits for this month. Moving to or from a yearly plan starts a new period: you pay the new plan less what is left of the old one, and your credits become the new plan's. Moving down costs nothing now; the smaller plan starts at your next renewal.

Everything you made stays in your projects and can still be downloaded. Move up a plan to get more credits straight away.
For clips and captions, the work grows with the length of the video: a two-hour episode is read end to end before a single clip is chosen. An AI edit is one price up to ten minutes of footage.
Starter covers a few episodes a month. Creator suits one weekly show with clips and some AI edits. Pro is for several shows or a lot of edits. Bigger plans give more credits for each dollar.
